Missy cannot save the world, but she can at least make a piece of it better by designing interventions for systemic change at institutions people love to hate.
Missy is curious about everyday misfortunes. Where other people see mundane bureaucracy, she sees an opportunity. To explore that opportunity, she grounds her practice in history, invests in relationships with stakeholders on all sides of an issue, and materializes ideas through prototyping and collaboration.
After working as a user experience designer across industries such as healthcare, tech startups and advertising, Missy recently earned an MFA in Transdisciplinary Design from Parsons School of Design. She is seeking civic and service design opportunities at organizations that see public sector innovation as an opportunity to prioritize community engagement and improve access to public services.
